DESCRIPTION
The Department of Art and Art History at the University of Texas at Austin houses a collection of old American Wood Type donated to it by Prof. Rob Roy Kelly. The typefaces are housed in opaque boxes to preserve them, making it difficult for anyone intending to use/browse through them to identify a typeface of choice.
This Smartphone application uses AR Marker technology coupled with image recognition to allow users to identify and cross reference typefaces across the collection and its catalogue. It also allows them to save chosen typefaces to lists to access information at a later time.
